Can Daily Affirmations Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind?

Did you know that you can positively change your life by using daily affirmations? Many people know that they would like to see positive changes in their life, but do not know what to do in order to bring about those changes. Affirmations are one of the simplest and most powerful ways to bring about change.

Norman Vincent Peale's famous book "The Power Of Positive Thinking" uses some of the most famous affirmations that people know. But one of his most famous affirmations is "I can do all things through Jesus Christ our savior who strengthens me...". The fact that it's quoted from Philippians 4:13 gives away more about what the essence of an affirmation is and where they come from. It shows that some of the most fundamental positive statements we use are derived from ancient texts and thoughts.

But, surely, the point is that someone who uses this affirmation on a daily basis will find some relevance in it? They are likely to be someone who follows a western religious doctrine and takes comfort from the Bible. You would be unlikely to find someone of an eastern faith using this particular form of words as a source of strength.I recently visited Nepal and had the privilege of seeing many Buddhist followers repeatedly chanting the mantra "Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum" as they walked trance-like around the Boudhanath in Kathmandu.

Imagine a small child that is constantly teased or verbally abused. Her schoolmates are continually making fun of her and telling her she's ugly and stupid. Or worse yet, it could even be her own parents verbally abusing her. She hears these taunts for so long, that she eventually becomes to believe them and these messages stay with her even when she becomes an adult. It's these negative thoughts that can cause her to wind up in a dead-end job or marry a deadbeat husband.

Whether you know it or not we all talk to ourselves. There is not one soul on the planet who doesn't talk to himself or her-self silently. This is known as self affirmation and not only is it normal it is a very powerful process. It can work for you or against you, depending on how you use it. In this article we will examine the benefits of daily positive affirmations.

In order for your daily positive affirmations to be effective you must inject true emotions into them. Merely mindlessly repeating a phrase to your-self over and over does you no good if you don't feel it. Try using words of emotion like " happily,joyously,confidently,unstoppable,bold,relaxed,calm,etc. These will help you generate real emotion.

Many people don't realize how easy it is to change your life for the better. All that is needed is to change your way of thinking so that only positive thoughts run through your mind daily and no negative thoughts intrude.It is not easy to change the way your mind thinks and it will take time and repeated use of positive affirmations to make it happen, but once you do change the way you think, you will be amazed at how much of a positive impact it will have on you and the happiness you will find in your life from now on.

Choose a certain time a day to do your positive affirmations. For example,8.00 am each morning for five minutes. By selecting a specific time to do your affirmations you are making time to do them instead of try to find the time.The great thing about doing affirmations is that after only a short period of time they will become an automatic part of your daily thinking and behavior. You wont have to use conscious effort. That's when you will reap the full benefits of using daily positive affirmations.First, before actually get to the benefits of daily positive affirmations, let's get a clear definition of exactly what an affirmation is. An affirmation is an assertion of support or agreement. It is a declaration of the truth. Basically, an affirmation is something we consciously choose to believe or agree with.

Use pictures whenever possible because this will make it much easier to change your way of thinking to be positive. By repeating the affirmations to yourself and seeing a picture at the same time, your subconscious mind will have a much easier time of believing it is true in your physical world. Now that you know how to use daily affirmations to achieve the complete happiness you want; all that is left is to get started using them. Just remember that it will take time for them to start working, but once they do you will be amazed at how many things in your life you can change so that you have complete happiness in all areas of your life.
