If you are among those who lack confidence, then building self confidence should be your goal. Self confidence is very important and necessary if you want to survive in today's society. Self confidence is needed in every field whether you are a sportsperson or a student. Building self confidence is necessary for both personality development as well as self-development. As said by a great personality "If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started". It is very easy to lose confidence but very hard to build self-confidence. Everyone wants to be successful in their life which is possible only if they have faith in themselves.

So we don't burn the calories that we need to use, and; you guessed it, we gain weight. Our hips and thighs get fat; and our bellies pop out to make it look like we drink a whole lotta beer.But, one day we start thinking about the health risks; like diabetes and heart disease, which are associated with obesity. So we decide to go on a diet to try to lose weight fast.Our willpower soon melts, and we get back into the same old rut; but it's even worse than that. We start feeling guilty because we cheated on our diet, which leads to us eating more 'comfort food;' like hotdogs, hamburgers, greasy French fries, ice cream and cake.

Do not set goals that cannot be achieved. Step by step you will win the race, do not try to be hasty. It is seen that many have the habit of comparing themselves with others which results in dissatisfaction. Do not compare yourself with others as everyone is different and they may not have the talents that you possess. So set goals for yourself and try to achieve them. You should try to compete with yourself, this will let you increase your limit and help you to move forward in life.

Change your posture and always smile.The confidence of a person can be seen from the way a person walks and talks, in short it is visible from one's posture. A person who lacks self confidence looks depressed and has a sad expression on the face. Change your posture and try to sit straight. While talking to anyone maintain eye contact. Try to keep a bright smile on your face always. Some of you may think how one can change their confidence just by changing the posture. For all of you who think like that let me tell you that just by changing your posture you will be changing your emotional state. In a study conducted by researchers it is seen that a smile can give you a positive feeling. It is seen while smiling you do not feel depressed.

Most of us associate success just in the amount of money we have, but the reality is, from the moment we are born, we are already successful. Writing down even the smallest successes in your life will validate you and will make you remember that more than once in your life, you also had been successful. This will help us regain and build our self confidence.

Write a Journal of All Successes. Record every success you have, big or small in a journal and look back on that success when you start to feel your confidence slipping. This journal is your pep talk to help remind yourself how to build self confidence. In this journal include your thoughts about the achievement before and after. Also, record a reward you gave yourself for a job well done and ensure all of your successes have a reward that you give yourself. For example, if the objective is to get a job, you getting the job is not the reward. You need to celebrate completing the objective successfully.

Look in front of the mirror and start validating yourself.There's no better way to get validated than us validating ourselves. Every morning, look at yourself in the mirror and avoid doing the "automatic" thing of noticing what looks wrong about your face or how you do not want the figure of your body. Start a habit of appreciating what's great about you rather than noticing the not so great features of your physical body.
