Using The Greatest Secret Of Change

By Evan Sanders

The secret of change is to focus everything on creating what you can in the present, and letting yourself slip out of the past and the future.

How can we actually change?

I am not talking about the kind of change that lasts for just a few months and then we return to the same stuff we always used to do. No, I am talking about that everlasting change that permits us to move forward with our lives and leave our old techniques behind. This is true change, change that will last forever. The secret is to commit everything you have in your life to building what you can in the moment.

The past will hold you down and the future will show you the greatest lie and mirage of a place where it all turns out. Both these places are stupendously threatening because they keep us from being in action in the present time. Even though we can go there in our heads, we have to avoid living in these places at all costs.

Change isn't going to be easy. Consider how many people try and make great changes the on the first of the year...January 1. In fact, almost half of those who make New Years Resolutions fail by February. That disconnect is huge. So there must really be something astonishingly broken with that technique.

So what are we able to do?

Focus all your energy one thing, each day, to make yourself a smidge better compared to the day before and do that for as long as you potentially can. Don't get obsessed over the quantum leap where everything changes all at the same time - it's a lie. Heavily focus on the daily chores you can perform and in time you will change more than you could possibly ever imagine.

Start the voyage of change at this moment, one step at a time.

Don't wait.
