It'll take you no more than 2 seconds to leap online and find spewing negativism. The news, the posts we see, the comments we read. It's all there. The web has become an acceptable playground for those who wish to hide behind a keyboard and write whatever they want about someone. They can criticise, spread filth, and in numerous cases take things to a totally new degree. A degree that only promotes hate.
Hate breeds more hate.
If you have ever felt it within, you know exactly what I really am talking about. When you harbour hate in your heart, you start hating other stuff as well. While the Net is only one out of many methods folks can deliver hate with, it does serve as a pretty clear example of how things are going in our world today. We have developed a system in which hate has the ultimate protection. Having the ability to hide behind a user name nearly guarantees that the comments themselves will never see the forces of accountability for its actions.
In the face of this just about overpowering raging stream of hate, we need to press on.
Why?
Because we should endorse what we adore rather than striking out at what we hate.
I am not delusional about the world. I'm really not that crazy guy on the news who is understood in his neighborhood for being Mr. Happy literally 24/7. That sort of unbalanced one-way lifestyle is unhealthy for you. I have my horrid days. I have days where I find myself in a conflict between love and hate, acknowledgment and shutting off, and these are days when I go to go to battle. These are days when I am reminded of what I really believe in. No matter how hard it could be.
The dose the world wishes in a constant drip, is encouragement.
People must be encouraged for what they are doing, for failing and trying again, for giving a great effort and moving forward. It isn't about removing hate from the world, It's truly about balancing it out with acts of love. The world, just as ourselves ourselves, can get out of alignment and thrown off now and then. Others will really start to see the worst of everything because truthfully, that's what we are shown. We are consistently subject to the bad stuff. Flick on the television. Automobile crashes, 10 dead in class shooting, riots, unrest in nations all around the world, massive coverups, violations of privacy, oil spills and nuclear meltdowns. With all this, small wonder we have got a dismal view of what is occurring.
I suspect that a steady drip of love and incentive can change lives. It significantly changed mine, so why can it not change others?
The ripple effect you truly can have on the world is way beyond your understanding. Hell, I don't even know. But I have faith that it is occuring. You can turn someones day around in a moment.
Encourage those around you. You won't agree with the exact way in how they are doing it, but don't step on them for it. Others need to learn their way. Sometimes we have the best intentions when trying to help others, but in the end, everyone has their own trail to stroll. Walk with them, don't attempt to take the rug out from under them.
Encouragement matters.
