What Is Palmistry About And Can You Learn To Read Your Own Palm?

By Jeff K.

If you are like me there is a good chance that you have been wondering what is palmistry or palm reading all about? Palmistry is an ancient art form that has it's roots in India from thousands of years ago and enables you to gather information about someone by reading "lines" on their hands. It's rather fascinating the details that these lines provide.

Now, whether you are somewhere in the East or somewhere in the West it's likely that palm reading might be called something else, like chirology or chiromancy. Essentially this is just a different term with the same meaning. Regardless there is lots of valuable information to look at by reading the palm.

Palm reading has strong ties to the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, which is a name that many of us are probably familiar with even if we don't know a lot about him. Palmistry was commonly used in the East in places like India, Tibet, and China and many believe that it has ties into astrology and fortune tellers as well.

You might be wondering how palmistry made it's way to ancient Greece and into the mind of Aristotle. One person gets a lot of credit for being the first person to be documented on writing about palmistry and that is a Hindu sage from India known as "Valmiki."

The palm reading lines on an individuals hands will tell you a lot about the person's future, their personality, and other valuable information. More than likely you will be having your dominant hand read to find out things that are going on currently in your life and what's in store for the future. You will be able to reveal things about your love life, your health, your mindset, and even your career path.

Many people who have their palms read want to know what's in store for the future, so if that is the case you will be having your fate line read which will help you look at your journey through life so far and what might be in store for you in the future.

When trying to find out more about a person's destiny in life and what's in store for the future you will need to look at the "fate line" however you should know that this is a line that is not present on every palm. If it is you will easily be able to identify your journey through life and what might be in store for you soon.

Then you have some people who want to tap into a higher power and understand exactly how their brain is working and why they are thinking like they are thinking. By having your head line looked at it will help you tap into thought patterns, whether or not you enjoy learning new things, and what's the best way for you to communicate with others.

So, if you haven't done so yet try reading your own palm and really learn to study this art and when you become good enough at it you will be able to tell a lot about yourself and other people as well. Make sure that this long standing tradition doesn't disappear.
