All That You Need To Know About Window Graphics

By Lila Barry

Glass signs, clings and window graphics are all great means of turning an otherwise unused window space into a powerful advertising space. It is also a great way to dress up your vehicle or home that helps in the reduction of energy used at the same time. They are also some of the most common forms of advertising carried out in retail window displays, new or old remodeling sites, fast food restaurants, as well as other place where there is availability of space.

Clients are more likely to notice any signage on glass than anywhere else is, the main advantage is that they do not have to enter your store. This has made it a very vital part in the attraction and retention of attention for special events or provision of critical information to the public. Some of these installations are specially treated, such that they are able to block a huge percentage of the rays from the sun keeping the interior cool and comfortable.

The material in the homes is the same one as that used in the decoration of vehicles allowing you to have an un obstructed view of the outside from within. This form of application is particularly of interest to those individuals looking to decorate the back windows of their automobiles with advertisements or just a favorite photo or design. Applications of this method even go as far as creating attractive vehicle wraps.

In home construction, the designs are able to offer homeowners and dwellers with privacy while allowing you to display a message you feel is important or a decoration you fancy. The bathroom is one of the rooms where this process is applied. This allows the users to enjoy some privacy while at the same time allowing the natural light through and offer a clear view of the outside from inside.

When getting into the world of decorative windows, it is vital that you be aware of all the options available to you in the market today. The films have being in use since the 1960's and come in either tinted or clear products that are adhesive in nature and allow light through without allowing those on the outside to see the inside. The most common products in the market are transparent, opaque and perforated vinyl and each has its uses depending on application and the graphic you choose to print on it.

The perforated vinyl is also known as perf and features evenly spaced tiny holes in vinyl space allowing light through without obscuring view of those inside. On the outside, a graphic can be printed while the adhesive side is black. This option is mounted on outside of glass.

The opaque vinyl, on the other hand, does not let any light through at all and the adhesive layer is usually either gray or black. This in turn means that it is applied to the side of glass where it will be viewed. Any images or letters are printed on same side to ensure that they are viewable from the most advantageous position.

Different from the white film, transparent film is mounted on the insides of glass. The window graphics are printed in two formats, facedown or mirror formats, and white ink or backing sheet is used to back up the whole ensemble. After application of adhesive on the image face it is then in the interior of glass facing outwards.
