How To Get A Lean Six Sigma Belt The Right Way

Quality is the end goal of a production process. It is what moves companies to the peak of the corporate mountain. Quality products equate to loyal customers, which would ultimately mean more profits. But, quality products are only achieved through the excellent work rendered by well trained companies.

To aid establishments, there are a lot concepts that were designed to improve total customer satisfaction. These notions are products of long research and various modifications in the production process. One of these is the method known as lean six sigma Houston. This is a combination of two very effective managerial strategies, the lean manufacturing and six sigma method.

Lean production is originally developed by an automobile company. It focuses on waste reduction to improve customer satisfaction value. It aims to completely do away with doing things that absorb time and resources but do not add value.

Six sigma focuses more on the uniformity of manufacture. The concept is about reducing the number of defective products by following a standard set of procedures that ensure efficiency and precision. It employs the belt levels as well.

As mentioned earlier, there are different belts that correspond to a level of knowledge about the methods of this strategy. The lowest is a white belt. This color refers to those still starting to learn about the entire strategy. To have this you will have to attend workshops to widen your understanding of the concept.

The yellow belt is the succeeding level from the lowest. Employees on this level has basic knowledge of the process as is a core member of a project. You must present evidences of project participation and successfully pass the LSSSA YB exam to achieve this level.

A green belt employee has had at least three years of experience. They work under supervision by a black belt employee and is involved in quality improvement projects. Like the yellow holders they do not lead a project. To become one you must pass an LSSSA GB exam and present proven participation in a project.

Leading the yellow and green belt employees are people from the black echelon. They have lead many projects and have come up with case studies along with an entire team. One completed, the case study has to be defended. Successful studies receive a certification after you have successfully passed a LSSSA BB examination.

You must not stop there, because the master black belt level awaits you. These are the people with more than three years of black belt experience. They have also passed the LSSSA MBB test. MBB holders guide and train green and black belts in the successful completion of a project. To be able to acquire your desired status as professional in your chosen field, you have to prepare for the test given by creditors from Houston TX, amongst others, and successfully pass each one.
