How To Arrange The Perfect Princess Parties In Middletown

By Angela Briggs

If it's almost time for your little girl's birthday, you're probably thinking about how to throw her a special birthday party. With so many fabulous princess parties in Middletown, it might be difficult to deal with the pressure of keeping up with the Joneses. However, you don't need to despair. It's really very easy to make your daughter's birthday party one neither she nor her friends will ever forget.

Get the guests all excited and interested by sending them invitations that are extraordinary. The invitations should show clearly what the theme of the party will be. However, instead of sending a cut-out cardboard tiara-shaped invitation, send a small plastic tiara in a box, with the invitation sealed with wax for that royal look. Alternatively, create cardboard castles with doors that can fold open to reveal the invitation inside.

The decor is an important part to the success of the event too. If weather permits and you have a garden, turn the space into an enchanted forest. Twinkling lights, pieces of mirror hanging from trees, lots and lots of flowers and a chocolate fountain can do wonders to create a magic setting. Having the party outside will also make cleaning up afterwards a breeze.

The food should be fit for royalty. This doesn't mean that you need to break the budget on expensive treats. A simple sandwich or cake can become something special with the help of cookie cutters. Edible glitter and a bit of food coloring can also add a magic touch. Use paper plates and drinking cups made of gold or silver colored paper and add sugar crystals to look like jewels.

A dress-up theme party is great fun. However, you can also ask the kids to come dressed in their everyday clothes and then let them create their own outfits at the party. Have old clothes and shoes, costume jewelry and yards and yards of tulle handy for the guests to use. In this way you encourage their creativity, there's no competition about who came dressed in the most expensive outfit and you have one of the party activities sorted.

For an indoor event, it's probably a good idea to have more subdued activities such as a movie or story-telling hour or craft activities. A professional children's entertainer is a good investment too but instead of hiring a clown, hire a 'court jester' instead. Someone dressed as a popular princess can be a hit too. For outside, you may want to consider a 'royal' treasure hunt or even a maze.

Remember that some girls hate the idea of frilly pink dresses. They want to be active and sporty, like so many modern princesses. A jumping castle is the perfect solution. Otherwise, choose a space princess theme and let them create an obstacle course through the 'galaxy'. This will remind them that girls may use their brains too.

Planning the perfect party takes time. If this is a luxury you don't have, you may consider using the services of a party planner. Some of them are highly experienced in organizing princess parties in Middletown. They'll take care of everything for you so that you won't have to lift a finger before the big day.
