These are things that one needs to look into. Usually, one will just need to take time off, and completely forget about what has caused the burnout. It is not always easy, but a therapist can help with this.

The recovery process can be slow, and this will depend on what type of burnout one has been affected by and how long it has been going on for. There may be some underlying feelings which one needs to deal with as well.

The person may feel that they feel better when they are working because they don't feel lonely or isolated. It can be the thing that brings them satisfaction. It can be a form of escape where they will be getting away from their responsibilities and their family life. If this is the case, the family should work together on various issues that come up over time.
