The Importance Of Knowing About Emotional Intelligence

By Kathleen Lee

Emotional Intelligence is how you acknowledge and deal with your emotions as well as how you deal with others. This intelligence should be taught at a young age, so children could go knowing what to do when they encounter anxiety and other emotional issues. Unfortunately before, even until now, education is focusing more of logical thinking and scientific factors and structures, which is the reason why more and more people are growing up having problems in dealing even with their own basic emotions. However, there are eqi 20 these days that keeps track of one emotional wellness.

What is the reason why this intelligence is not part of the school basin curriculum. It is because most people do not think that its at all important, after all it is not something that is easily comprehended and understood. In fact nobody is ever born with it, everyone needs a good amount of time to actually learn it.

Take for example, a bully in school, he or she is usually feared, a lot of children sees them as monsters to be avoided rather than a human being to understand. Though the way they treat others cannot be justified, because it is wrong to hurt another whether in a physical or emotional aspect.

The problem with todays generation, no one wants to gain something they do not understand, and if its proven to be difficult to achieve, one would easily give up without giving it their all, which says a lot about the kind of individuals the current society is producing.

Gladly there are still people whom are striving to achieve better understanding of why others act the way they do. How emotions affect a persons rational decision. Because often time, a lot of people wear mask to hide what they truly feel, they would resolve to anger when they are lonely, they would hide behind a smile when they are sad.

But the problem is, not being able to learn about this intelligence as early as possible makes it difficult for one to see if the person is covering what they truly feel. All this structure education made people think that logic and scientific resolve is everything. But that truth is, its only a small portion to get one through hard situations.

Not only does it encourage, their employees to work well together, but also provide them with the essentials to work at their best. There is also lesser probability of any sudden outburst of emotions or arguments between two fellow co workers. So there is less misunderstanding and a much healthier working environment.

When you think about the expenses of promoting this emotional intelligence in the work place maybe one should try to consider the possibility of positive outcomes in having employees whom has control over their emotion and understanding of co employees emotions and actions.

You get to understand others and that is beneficial not just for socializing with different individuals but of also getting along with them. For company promoting emotional intelligence and encouraging them to keep track of their emotions can create a better working environment, which is beneficial for everyone in the company. Imagine not having to resolve misunderstanding and miscommunication between two employees who need to work together, and be able to work at their best.
