Psychologists have a lot of responsibilities and decision making to have to cope with. It is not all plain sailing. A person who wants to achieve something specific in their lives may feel like they are taking a risk. But many will debate and say that they should be doing this in order to get to the next point in lives. However, there is always the fear of failure. Sometimes, one doesn't do enough planning and this can lead to an unsuccessful action.

People also should realize that something positive can come out of a failed action. However, when it continues to happen again and again, one needs to go back to the drawing board. This is often when the person will rebel or turn to something else which is not suitable for their lifestyle.

It can be particularly helpful when there is a mentor to help the person to help them set goals so they are able to bring out their full potential. Everyone has someone that they can do to this level, but it is not always possible to reach that dream when you don't have a person to give you a little push. It is easy to fall off the wagon if you are trying to manage this on your own. Therapists will encourage the patient to do some of the work outside of the session as well so that they start to become less dependent on them.
