In fact, the Asian market has developed so much that they now brew the largest amount beers in the entire planet.
The second beer on the list is also from Hong Kong and is called the 1842 Island Imperial. This is similar to the bastard, however, the brewers of this brand called Young Master Ales decided to do things a little differently. The beer is completely balanced in all accounts, with some beer critics praising it for being a well-rounded and amazingly flavoured beer. It s an imperial beer that holds an ABV of about 8%, combining hop and malt bill.
This is done through the purchasing of machinery and in some cases, especially within China and Korea, creating their own machines and processes to get the best possible blends and crafts out there. The competition is very real, a good example is with Thai brewers who find themselves unable to brew in their own countries due to specific law regulations and restrictions. Instead of choosing to rather set up shop in neighbouring countries such as Cambodia and Vietnam and then capitalizing on the Thai market by shipping products in.
This particular stunner is the brewed with one of the classic European hops, Hallertau. The drink is a Weizen which draws its influence from the original German Weizen with flavours such as banana.
It comes as no surprise that so many breweries stock to these beer festivals in an attempt to seek out to grow and promote their beers and their brand. Craft beer is truly a worldwide phenomenon and something that doesn t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
