Faith is an abstract word that means a lot. When speaking about religion, there is nothing more controversial than its differences. It might have been a neutral word if not because of its contrasting concepts. Sometimes instead of contributing to the betterment and peace of our society, it contributed to conflict and wars. In this article, we will learn about Olive Grove Baptist Church.
We speak different languages and still, it did not cause harmful result. However, when it comes to religion, it resulted to grave conflicts. We cannot deny the mere fact that we always want our religious beliefs to dominate among others. Churches would not even allow couples to marry if they were raised from different religions.
Thus, we should be aware that our values are not the general and most appreciated ones. Some people tend to think that their values are the most correct and perfect ones. This kind of belief should be erased in order to achieve a more peaceful place for everyone to live in. Prioritizing our own sets of values will only make us toxic individuals.
The goal of religious organizations is to promote kindness and the spread the general truths and not their personal beliefs. Some missionaries have risked their lives just to share the good news to those people who are living in inaccessible areas. These areas were not yet reached by industrialization. Thus, as instruments, we must do our job to cater their moral needs.
Sometimes, we really have to break away from our traditional and conventional beliefs and adopt with reality. There is no such thing as a standard for reality. However, we have our own personal standards. We should never let toxicity to influence our thoughts. People are unaware of their existing erroneous thoughts.
Our back subjects and previous experiences are one of the sources of our present actions. We can no longer change the mind sets of others since they were living almost half of their lives believing in certain concepts. Even though how hard we try to convert the principles of someone, we can never do that unless we are his or her parents. When we were young we were molded and shaped according to how our parents want us to grow up.
Meaning to say, when we become criminals in the future, it might be our fault but part of it is the fault of our environment. Studies have shown that those children who were raised in a decent environment were already professionals now. However, those who have harsh beginnings with their immature parents, these children usually became criminals and by standers. This has been clearly evident nowadays.
We could not blame people for acting immaturely without knowing their back subjects. Instead of discriminating their beliefs, we might do something to relate with them. As responsible and concerned citizens, you cannot help these people by influencing them with your own personal values. Instead of doing so, apply the common ground rule.
Unfortunately, some of them are politicians whose purpose is only for a political campaign. This should not be the case. Some thought that this is just the basis. It could be a part of those basis but not the whole of it. Understanding and loving one another is an act of real faith and thus, we can prove the strength of our faith by being instruments of care and love.
