The minions are the creation of the Universal Pictures, who first produced them in the movie Despicable Me. They are the small yellow, comical assistants of the super villain Gru who was trying to maintain his notoriety by stealing the moon. The minions are generally found to be one eyed or two eyed small creatures.
The minions are small impulsive creatures with little self-control, very innocent that makes the viewer conscious and they try to make them relatable. They can often be annoying while working or interacting with other people or animals. Gru has given Standard English names to each of them and we are able to hear few of the names in the movie. Generally the super villains are always found abusing their henchman but here Gru seems to like the minions and often seen appreciating their work. He is found to know each of the minions by their names.
In the attempt to fight the skeletal army Kai loses his sister who is captured by Samukai and escaped to the underground. This make Kai angry and impatient and he sets to save his sister, where he is stopped by Sensei WU, and made realised that he needs proper training and has to become a ninja before he could go under his first quest. Kai agreed to the offer concerning it to be the only way to defeat the skeletal army.
He was taken to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, where he was given proper training as a Spinjitzu master, so that he could save his sister and all other Ninjago. In the Monastery Kai acknowledges other Masters of Spinjitzu and with them he starts his first conquest to find all the four Golden weapons, the Sword of fire, Nunchucks of Lightning, Shurikens of Ice and the Scythe of Quakes.
Other than the physical characteristics and their appearance they are found to have some physiological appearance too. For example with a crack and shake they can be a useful tool in the dark as they work as glow sticks, can be very helpful while moving through ventilation ducts. They can also survive without oxygen as one of them is seen in the space without the oxygen mask in one of the movie.
The movie depicts how an evil villain no more stays a villain and is converted to a human, once he is loved by the three small girls. The minions in the movie are found to use wit and humour making the audience laugh throughout.
The minions are found speaking their own languages which is called the "Minionese", which is a mixture of several languages such as the French, Italian, etc. There have been several instances in the movie where the minions have found speaking in their language which is incomprehensible to the humans. This also makes the movie interesting as people always try to relate them to the appropriate.
