Prejudice based on a sexual role is what is commonly referred to as sex discrimination. The judgments of this people in society are in relation to gender but are formed from their opinions of the physical body that they see.
The amount of females in the sporting journalism trade is swiftly budding. This has caused a lot of controversy in recent years. Many traditionalists consider that the sporting business should be predominately for men. They have stomached a lot of criticism for breaking the mold.
These ladies are often given the grounds to feature short sessions before the games begin. Making a report on the ongoing game is a problem since the crowd behind constantly devote their time to make fun on them since they are ladies. Their careers and reputation are judged by how they look.
A debate was in motion as to whether or not to allow lady reporters into the locker rooms after the game. As we all know most of the times they will be denied access granting the male the upper hand. In a case where both sexes are denied access the women tend to be blamed as the cause.
All in all, there are stereotypes associated with each profession. This is a picture we create in our minds while we are small. The job of a man or a woman? No. As we grow we should learn that these stereotypes are wrong and come up with strategies to erase them from our minds. We need to set ourselves free from such kind of victimizing convictions. It hurts other people and you may also get hurt in the process.
Breaking the stereotyping nature of the society would be like carrying the world on your shoulders. It is a battle we can choose not to take part in. Although we can focus our energy on making our reporting better, our writing better and let the bygones be bygones. With that, everyone can relax knowing that someone enjoyed your work because some effort was out into it.
