George W. Bush served as the 43rd president of United States from 2001 to 2008. He is one of the main United States presidents whose presidency was surrounded with gossips, mysteries and rumors. There are various amazing and interesting facts that surround his life.

Bush is recognized as the single former US leader who took part in a marathon. Bush is known to have finished this race within a time of 3 hours and 44 minutes. He is recognized to have spent ample time all over his presidency to exercise in running in Camp David that was the Presidential Retreat.

He was the only president who supervised and played baseball. For example, he was the organizing director of Major League Baseball Team of Texas Rangers. Bush is also the only chosen leader in the world to have participated in a League. Additionally, he was the only US leader ever who people to play T-ball games within the White House Lawn.

George is also the only former US leader who presented his speech in both Spanish and English. Bush gave out this speech on 5 May 2005 during the first Weekly Radio Address of America Leader. George is known to love eating deviled eggs, honey sandwiches, pretzels, peanut butter and grilled cheese sandwiches.

He is the first US president who took more unofficial trips, spend the longest vacation period and spend the largest amount of such trips. He is known on august 2005 to have spent five weeks on a vacation. When averaged, the total amount of money he spent per hour in these trips was between $ 56000 and $ 68000. He spent a total of 900 days which totaled to 2 years for the period of eight years.

During the early ages, Bush was known to have involved himself into abusing drugs. For instance, during his early twenties, Bush is known to have been addicted to alcohol which led him to be arrested due to driving under the influence of alcohol. However, the remarkable thing with Bush was that, after being influenced by hi wife to quit smoking Bush finally quit smoking in 1986.

The fact that Bush married one of the best ever first ladies in US was also other amazing facts about his life. It stated in history that, his wife Laura Bush was a very amazing woman who conducted herself courteously and throughout the eight years Bush was in rein; Laura has never embarrassed her husband or nation. When Obama was being sworn in as the following president after Bush, Laura proved to be the best lady by presenting herself courteously by welcoming Obama warmly.

These are a few of the less known facts you might not be aware of regarding George W Bush. Many of these facts are known to have occurred when he was the president and before he was chosen to be the United States President. A number of them also center on the life of his wife Laura Rose Bush who is regarded as the most wonderful First Lady because she had the best character in the history of all the wives of the United States Presidents.
