Some Of The Apostle Paul Teachings

By George Turner

The Apostle, was born in Tarsus and went by the name Saul. He was based in Rome and was once one of the greatest persecutors of Christianity. As he was on his way to Damascus for his usual persecution, he had an encounter with Jesus when a bright light shone down from heaven. He was temporarily blind, and by the time he regained his site, he was ready to spread the gospel. The article speaks more on The apostle Paul teachings.

He bravely claimed that he was not ashamed of the gospel and later on encouraged Timothy that he should be courageous too. In the world today, many people pretend not to be associated with Christ just to fit in. We should never be ashamed so as to fit in the world as our permanent home is in heaven where we would never fit.

He taught that there only exists one faith, one lord, and one baptism. This means that all the others that people created for themselves are wrong. There is one God and one Father for all. This is true as you have to acknowledge Christ as the son of God in order to get into heaven. Christ was sent to teach about all the good things God has in store for us in heaven.

Another lesson, is that we are not just another one of Gods creation and we were created for a purpose. He did not just create us to worship Him but to be His children too. This is confirmed when we learn that we are heirs together with Christ. We will get to inherit the kingdom and live in it together for all eternity.

Another one of the memorable teachings is the resurrection. He paints it to be like when you are submerged in the water you die with Christ and when you are pulled out you resurrect as he did. He states that he preaches the gospel, it is not for his own benefit but because every believer is supposed to take part in the spreading of the good news.

Unity of faith is another lesson. The same way people with a common goal come together to support each other to achieve the end goal, faith in Christ should bring Christians together. They should work toward making their faith stronger. Sharing teachings with each other will build them, and they will be able to get to heaven if they work together.

Anyone who preaches a religion other than that of Christ brings confusion. It shows that they do not serve the same God as the rest of us. Paul states that our God is a God of peace and not confusion and therefore any contradictory teachings are not of our faith. We should make sure that the people who preach to us are actually teaching the right thing and not bringing confusion.

He insisted that Christians fight the good fight of faith. This is not a physical fight but rather a spiritual one. This means fighting regarding prayer to keep all away everything that may attack you spiritually.
