Despite the fact that humans are of the same genetic makeup, share the same planet, contact the same diseases and experience the same emotions, there are still so many differences that divide people apart. There is the matter on communication gap to mess things up even more.

Racism is not inherent in everyone. No one is born and instantly hates other races. For most cases, experts have reasons to believe that ignorance is one of its main causes. The things that one does along with the others in the community is the right thing for them. The things that others do differently are then considered wrong by these people, only because this is not the way they do such things.
Aside from the presumption, racism also stems from fear. It is inherent in humans to fear change and all those things that they have difficulty in grasping. They are afraid that something better might replace them and take what is rightfully theirs. To protect themselves and their interests, they try and put the others in a negative light and own the spotlight as theirs.
A racist, aside from being a fearful human, is also a very insecure one. Behind that tough exterior is someone who is secretly wishing they could be the other. Victims of this act are often left to feel worthless and stripped off of their self esteem that they would also want to inflict the same suffering to other people.
Racism is far more serious than what people think. It can affect the outlook that one has towards living. It can leave one bitter, angry, and violent. It can even make one depressed or mentally ill.
It also manifests itself in almost everything that man decides to dabble in. Even in the world of professional sports, racism also has managed to take over. This results to poor talented people who are not allowed to participate not because they do not have the skill. They are banned from joining because they look different from the rest.
This should never be the case. A person is the same as the others. His color, gender, race, and religion should not be the basis of how he should be treated.
